It is great that author/illustrator Patrick McDonnell practices what he preaches in regards to animal advocacy. His books carry so many important messages concerning how animals enrich our lives. I also enjoy how he weaves guiding principles along with funny tales (tails) involving Earl & Mooch on how we as humans can coexist better with nature.

This book is all about friendship and the very thin line between good or bad. There's a lot of hidden messages and that just made me like the book even more.

I thoroughly enjoyed this collection of blogs. Scalzi has put together a fascinating time capsule. I had forgotten a lot of the important issues of the time. It was also fun to see Scalzi's speculation on how things would turn out. Besides a political, social, and economic portrait of the times, Scalzi offers some good insight into writing. And in addition to the rib-splitting humor that he is a master at, there were plenty of poignant moments and thought provoking insights about people, society, and the important things in life.

I loved how Tamara Ireland Stone focused her energy on developing the story, characters and plot of her novel rather than muddying the experience with needless laws of physics, hypotheses or theories of time travel. As a reader, she invites us to momentarily suspend our reality and experience Anna and Bennett’s story without unnecessary time machines and plot devices. As a pair, they were extremely relatable and easy to fall for that I had no issues putting all logic in the back seat. I simply wanted to enjoy the adventure, so I welcomed Stone’s invitation to journey with her characters in this romantic, yet suspenseful story about love and friendship.

I liked how the romance wasn't the be all and end all of the book. Because of their history, it wasn't all love at first sight between Sam and AJ, and it actually took a while before proper feelings came into play. To me, the friends to lovers tropes is one of the best, and I love how AJ and Sam started off disliking each other, to being friends, and gradually getting closer until it was full on love.

I loved this book. I could not put it down. It is so well written. Cinder is a great character and you find yourself really associating with her plight, which kept me engaged. I can't really think of anything that bothered me about this book. But yea, wow.....never would have thought I would enjoy this as much as I did. Read it!

This book is AMAZING!!! It takes place after the first series. Amy and Dan thought they won the clue hunt and that their lives would be normal. But they were wrong. Now 7 Cahills have been kidnapped worldwide. Amy and Dan have received a package that contains a cell phone with one text message. "We have hostages. Do what we want or they die". This book keeps you reading until the end. I recommend this book to people who love mystery/detective fiction stories.

A fun adventure for kids...I read in one sitting. Poor James is left an orphan and his Aunts find him to be a horrible burden. A mysterious stranger gives him some magic with which to escape his plight, but he drops it next to a peach tree. A peach as big as a house grows, some garden insects are also affected by the magic, and James escapes his horrors by burrowing inside of the peach and finding the insects. The story has many harrowing ups and downs, but finally the peach lands in New York and these immigrants find the shores of America are still hospitable to strangers, where they live out their days as celebrities. A perfect book!!

Out of all of his books, this one has always been one of my favorites. On the top of my list, because of the pictures, and the lesson involved, it teaches a child to try something before automatically deciding whether or not he likes it. It also has trains in it. I love reading Dr. Seuss books, the flow of the rhymes just so much fun to say. Wonderful book.
